Our Story
After witnessing the lack of support for both families and the doulas who serve them, The journey to Doulio began as a doula agency in North Florida—one dedicated to helping doulas thrive so more families could receive continuous, compassionate care.
That mission has evolved into something much bigger.
Today, Doulio is building the infrastructure that makes doula care scalable, reimbursable, and sustainable. Our AI-powered platform brings together training, deployment, and reimbursement—helping health systems, payers, and community organizations expand equitable, outcomes-driven maternal care.
Through our work with partners like Healthy Start, Simply Healthcare, Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies, and The Children’s Trust of Alachua County, Doulio is powering the next generation of culturally aligned doulas—supported by data, technology, and community.
We’re not just supporting doulas—we’re strengthening the entire ecosystem that keeps birth safer, smarter, and more supported.
To every mother. To every doula. Through every journey.
We’re with you.
Building a stronger ecosystem for maternal care
We believe that improving outcomes starts with supporting the people who provide care. Doulio empowers doulas with the tools, training, and technology they need to deliver compassionate, evidence-based support—making birth safer and more equitable for families everywhere.

Meet the Doulio Facilitators
Doulio Facilitators are active doulas and educators who bring both expertise and lived experience to every training. Together, they represent professional backgrounds in nursing, mental health, lactation, education, and social services, all with advanced training in birth and postpartum care.
Every facilitator is trained and certified through Doulio’s Train-the-Trainer program and continues to serve families in their communities. This ensures our learning experiences are led by people who practice what they teach, applying the same skills, judgment, and compassion in real life.
Our team reflects the families we serve. Many facilitators are bilingual or multilingual, speaking English, Spanish, and Haitian Creole. They represent a range of racial, cultural, and lived experiences including Black, Latina, Caribbean, and white doulas and bring insight from both urban and rural communities.
Among them are specialists who support families in rural areas, pregnant women in recovery, and individuals navigating pregnancy and birth during or after incarceration.
At Doulio, we believe in learning from people who do the work. Our facilitators don’t just teach, they model what excellent, community-centered care looks like.
